Guided Tours

Guided Tours for Adults

Guided tours for small and large groups are available by appointment.
​
​Tours are approximately 45 minutes in length and can modified and adjusted to fit the interest of the party.
At this time there is no additional cost for the tour, normal admission applies.

American Art at the Arkell Museum - Take a walk through the Arkell Museum's American Art Collection including works by Homer, Inness, Stuart, Henri, Hopper, Sargent, Benton, Tarbell, Twatchmann,

Winslow Homer an Introduction - Enjoy the Arkell Museum's permanent collection of Winslow Homer Watercolors and Oils. Learn about this important American painter and his legacy to future generations.

Touring the Erie Canal Through Art and History - Take a ride on the Erie Canal through the Art of the Arkell Museum. Experience the canal as artists did in the 1880s as they floated and made art celebrating travel along the canal.

Storytelling Through Art - Learn how to read a painting and create your own story and meaning from what you see.

The Senses and Fine Art - Learn to see, smell, taste, and hear Arkell Museum's collection.
