Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement

The Canajoharie Library & Arkell Museum aim to provide an inclusive and accessible website to all our patrons and visitors. We appreciate your patience as we aim to comply with newly released accessibility standards and guidelines by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

The Mohawk Valley Library System (MVLS), a cooperative public library system chartered by the NYS Board of Regents, is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1, Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. As a proud member of the MVLS, we are making updates to the accessibility of web and mobile applications a top priority.

For more information on the WCAG requirements, please visit their website: https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wcag/

Please note:
The Canajoharie Library website and content may link to third-party vendors, websites, content, and platforms we do not own or control. Whilst these organizations follow their own accessibility efforts and standards, we believe accessibility is a fundamental right not a privilege and will continue to advocate for inclusion, equality, and better access for all.

We are here to help!
