1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program
The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program promotes early literacy skills that will provide your child a solid foundation for future learning!
Children ages 0-4 are eligible for this program and there are two easy ways to sign up!
Enroll your child through ReadSquared through a computer or mobile device. In the ReadSquared app you can track the books you read with your child, play early learning games with them as they get older, and earn badges and prizes for each level you reach!
Enroll your child at the Library today and receive a paper tracking form to help record the books your child reads. Each time you turn in your tracking form your child will earn a badge!
When your child reaches 1,000 books they will receive a Certificate of Achievement, a gift certificate to Stewart's for an ice cream cone, and a book!
Reading 1,000 books can seem overwhelming! We promise, it isn't as hard as you think! Check this out:
Reading 3 books a day for 1 year=1,095 books
Reading 1 book a day for 3 years- 1,095 books
Even reading 1 book a day makes a huge difference for your child!
