Donating Books and Other Materials

Can I Donate to the Museum?

Yes, to donate art or historical objects, contact our Curator of Exhibitions & Collections by emailing: [email protected]

The Arkell Museum cannot accept items mailed to the Museum or dropped off without an appointment.

How Do I Donate to the Library?

Donate your new and gently used books, music, and movies. We often add your donations to our collection!  Items we do not need for the collection are given to the used book sale to benefit new purchases for the Library collection.
Materials can be donated Tuesday through Friday 10 am - 5 pm. Weekend drop off unavailable.
Please do not place donations in the Library drop box. Materials in the drop box will be placed in the lost and found. New and gently used books and media can be dropped off at the front desk anytime during open hours.
Donations of more than two boxes must be scheduled with Library Staff.
To schedule a large donation please contact the Library Assistant at (518) 673-2314 x 114.
