In-Person Pre-K Storytime

Every Wednesday at 11:00 am

Join us at the Canajoharie Library & Arkell Museum for In-Person Pre-K Storytime. Storytime helps young learners become kindergarten ready by practicing sitting, listening, reading, sharing, following directions, movement, and song with other children and adults. All with lots of fun mixed in!
We have the scarves and the egg shakers. We have the songs and the stories. We just need you and the kiddos!
This is a FREE program.  Best for pre-k age kids. Older kids are welcome, but might not get the most out of this program.

Masks are optional but encouraged.

About Storytime on Your Time

Storytime on Your Time is a podcast created by The Canajoharie Library and Arkell Museum. This early literacy program is designed to have the fun of storytime right from  home!

Listen along to a great children's picture book, new episodes once a month..

Each storybook can be borrowed from the Canajoharie Library, pick them up at the front desk so you and your little one can read along with the recording. Also, great for those young listeners who can't get enough of the same story!

She Persisted In Science written by Chelsea Clinton

Listen to: She Persisted In Science
Throughout history, women have been told that science isn’t for them. They’ve been told that they’re not smart enough, or that their brains just aren’t able to handle it. In this book, Chelsea Clinton introduces readers to women scientists who didn’t listen to those who told them “no” and who used their smarts, their skills and their persistence to discover, invent, create and explain.

She Persisted in Science is for everyone who’s ever had questions about the world around them or the way things work, and who won’t give up until they find their answers.

Turkey's Valentine Surprise by Wendi J. Silvano
Turkey loves nothing better than a good trick…except maybe a good disguise. So for Valentine’s Day, he decides to secretly deliver a card to each of his friends. But when he dresses up as a cat to deliver the purr-fect valentine, he’s quickly found out. It turns out that outsmarting his pals is harder than he thought. Luckily, Turkey has more silly surprises in store.
